"I love the feel of subsonic information, but having a deep bass guitar and a deep kick drum at the same time can eat a lot of headroom and amplification. To recover some of the headroom, I use a C6 on the bass guitar to duck down a little of the low frequencies while the kick is sounding. But at the same time, I will expand the lower-mid bass region on the bass that is out of the kick’s way, to give the impression that the bass is hitting and kicking as hard as the kick drum."
